I really enjoy your videos Steve!

I’ve been training now pretty hard for 3 months, and I must admit the results are beginning to show. I feel really good during the work out (except the running which is a killer), and even better afterwards. I’m confident enough to start tucking in my T-shirts now, and buying tighter clothes. All ready for the summer!

It’s hard but not that hard, and it’s worth it!

You’re an excellent trainer, wow. I’m gonna do this.

good advice, is it possible for me to start warming up for a few weeks, but then i weight train every second day of the week and only do one muscle grup per day or will it be to intense or will i grow to become used to it and grow stronger, faster or someshit, whatever, just reply

  • ArnoldJames05

I like this advice. It is best when starting out to lift light weights and concentrate on getting the technique right. You should also focus on your breathing and really try to feel your muscles contract. After a few weeks you can really start to go all out and do 6 – 12 reps until failure.

hey i was wonder you think focusing on 3 a day and doing it twice a week is better than just focusing on one for a day for the week and doing it intensely then a different one the next day and so fourth?

  • BodyPerformanceTV

Remember, the more muscles you train during 1workout the less intensely you’ll be able to train. This is not bad if you’ve just started training since your muscles aren’t used to lifting. But as you get in better shape you’ll have to train each muscle more intensely (more weight & exercises) so you won’t have enough energy to train 3 muscles very hard. So it really depends on the shape you’re in. I train one muscle a day but I work that muscle for 45-60 minutes.

thanks im in good shape but just what to get stronger for playing football.
also do you reccomend running or cycling with a weighted vest (20kgs-40kgs) beneficial in muscle grow or in muscle strength?

  • BodyPerformanceTV

Weight lifting, not walking or biking, will increase your muscular size and strength. What you need to do is start a basic, consistent weight lifting program. Depending on your current fitness level I would train each muscle group twice a week. This will do more for increasing your size and strength than anything else. When I relaunch my site I will have workouts that you can download.

hey nice videos… question.. i am 18 i weight 145 lbs and im 6ft tall i recently started working out with 2 25lbs dumbells i do this monday thru friday at night and i do 10 liftings a minute and rest for like 30 secs then on the next minute the same thing..
is there something better i can do or is this good.? thanks…

  • BodyPerformanceTV

Check out videos 53 & 54 on my website. I have my sister demonstrating home exercises with dumbbells. Although the 25 lb dumbbells might soon become too light for you as your strength increases.

Once Again, Thank You Very Much. =D

What happened to your arm in this video?

  • BodyPerformanceTV

I cracked my elbow doing Jujutsu (which I didn’t realize) and then the elbow broke off when I was lifting.

    mate youre videos are great!
Beginning a training program is daunting especially without a PT, gyms are so foreign to me, so all the info i can get is helpful. cheers

Thanks! Relaunching my site in April. Some parts will be free and the rest will cost only $20 a month. Not bad to be able to have an expert as your guide. Beats $60 an hour!
