erm.. is there any alternative exercise that can help me improve in pull ups that can be done at home?

  • geta6pack

The only thing I can think of bro is for you to buy one of those pull up bars that you can fix inside door frame and do pull ups at home on that fixing.

looks like a quality workout, i must go and try it now

  • geta6pack

Cool, tell me what you think.

  • jebusgod

just a quick question before i try it, what strength is ur band?
i have a golds gym one, medium strength

  • geta6pack

My band comes from a shop in the UK called Tesco and its medium resistance so yours should be fine for this workout.

This is a great routine. I’m already seeing results after a few weeks. But I have a question: How do you get that hip/pelvic definition? I have no idea what it’s called, or how to target it!

  • geta6pack

Thanks man. I have done some research about this bodypart in the past. Unfortunately most of this hip section is not a muscle so can’t be improved. The best you can do is lower your fat level then you should be able to see it more defined. The lower part of that line I can feel a muscle though and for me the best way to develop it is by doing leg exercises. It issometimes called Adam’sline btw.

Hey bro, you think this is a good workout routine for upper body.

    BP: 3×8
    Dips( weighted )-3×8
    - then an isolation( 2×8 )

    Day 2:
    Bent over rows-3×8
    Upright rows-3×8
    Bicep curls/ or hammers- 2×8

Would that be good enough for building, you think. Compound movements, with one isolation, for upper body?

  • dboyz0123

Also if not what would you suggest. I use to lift, alot of isolations, but with school, need a quick routine, like 3 exercises max per day. Can only devote 2 days to upper body.

  • geta6pack

Its not a bad routine but I guess you want to build muscle right? If thats the case and you can only do gym 3 times a week I suggest you do only compound movements. A routine that has helped me is this one:

    1-Bench Press – 5 sets of 8 reps
    2-Squats – 5 sets of 8 reps
    3- Deadlifts – 5 sets of 8 reps
4- Military Barbell Presses – 5 sets of 8 reps
5- T-Bar Row or Bent Over Row – 5 sets of 8 reps

I call it the Assassin Body Workout – It will kill you! It worksout upper and lower body.

Thx, man..maybe I will work up to that. Far as shoulder presses, I am a former baseball athlete, and broke my clavicle( collar bone ) and dislocated my shoulder in the right arm!..lol. Neway the routine I threw you…it should be above, dips, rows, ect, should that be good for muscle building, or would it be bad? See in bb we just did a bunch of isolations, it took all day. My leg day was going to be squats, extensions, and calve raises. Didnt know if my lil upper routine was good 4 muscle though

  • dboyz0123

Also, srry to bug ya! I swear lifting is a science..lol. Did you see any benefits from rows?. Sum ppl swear by them for bicep development, even though its back. Since I would be holding off deads for now, would uprights fit in with rows and curls? Again, thx for ur advise. Right now I am 5ft 8. 152. I would like to get to 170.
