@leemhayward would it benefit me if i wasnt holding onto the rack? cause technically my body would have to stabilize itself right? therefore getting a better workout by recruiting more muscles?
It’s awesome that he can lift that much weight, but is his form incorrect? I was always taught that your body should be completely stationary except for the arm doing the work because you work your muscles a lot better and are less likely to injure your back. Especially when lifting that kind of weight. Tell me if I’m wrong, because I would love to increase my weight if it’s safe to do so.

@meglizhart your form is important but lifting heavy is also important, Dave is rocking a bit much in my opinion but he is lifting really heavy- Strict form at all times is for GURUS, do what you feel is right! if you can lift more with a little movement then do it!!! stimulate then muscles bro, you no your own body, just dont get injured, obviously growing becomes a problem then! peace geez

You’re not wrong at all. But, when you’re doing this much weight, it’s OK to cheat just a little. I’ve done just a little less than that weight (60 Kg) and let me tell you… you feel it all the way through.

I can do 105 with like 6 reps but man 140 is sooo beast. Then again Im only 17 and only 177 plbs but my goal is 210 by next year! Any tips on gettin big lee?
