very good ill try those ty , thanks for tip on keeping the arms wide, i forget that then i always feel biceps more, now I know

  • kevler8803

This is true, which is why it was the first grip I tried to master, but just as mentioned in the video variety is good, as it will hit other parts such as biceps. I’ve been doing this grip for quite a while. Just wondering if anybody else has the grip problem which is same problem just as the stright bar curl how it feels awkward on wrist.

  • mbelma6329

If you’re talking about barbell curls, then yes I know what you’re talking about. This grip, however is great for targeting the brachialis.

If you don’t like the barbell, use the crossover machine with a straight handle on the bottom attachment. This is great for targeting both the long and short heads of the muscle.

like wiht barbels i usualy use the ez curl bar….but i have the same problem wiht the straight bar, as wiht the 2 pull up grip shown in this vid

well, i keep hearing that if you work a certain muscle group, make sure you dont use it again for at least a day-is that true when it comes to pull/chin ups? because i love the things and would do ‘em every day if i could but i’d just like to know if that’ll impede any muscle growth

  • mbelma6329

OK just to be clear, barbells and the ez bar are different. they target different heads of the biceps.

But try adjusting the position of your thumbs if you haven’t yet. Move them from the top to under the bar and see how that feels.

great video….there are no greater range of muscles can be work from a simple body weight exercise like pullups…these type of workouts are the true sign of strength

  • AsgardProductionsSE

often at gyms there are machines that helps you in the pushup motion, by adding counter weight

  • AsgardProductionsSE

    that is good

  • hotdoctoroncall

im very curious about this. i work out at 24 hour fitness. there is a sign which specifies the color of the machine and the target muscle. im wondering if it is in that group or most like close to the ones in the weight area.

im so a beginner in weight training. so please bear with me.

  • kevler8803

It takes a while to be able to actaully do them, what alot of people suggest is work on the “negative”; grab a bench or steps, to bring you up on the bar, then work on going down with control in the pull up motion.
