I think i know what he’s saying, I think it had happen to me once but i don’t know. If you don’t see any improvment on that spot your working out and you look urself in the mirror and you no changes at all, I think that’s the time to do something else instead of that excersise.

A good diet is just as important as the workout so make sure you eat enougth calories ie 500 more than the daily recommended for a male. I also use whey protein and creatine which helped me get some good gains. I belive eggwhites are the best food compared to anything else as its high in prtoein and low in fat and cheap!!
If you live in the UK i suggest using myprotein (google it) its the cheapest around and you get 5% off first order if you use the code MP27522 at checkout!

Why not? Our football coach does sets of 20 with 205 on an incline and he’s alot smaller than the guy on the video

    im guessing his genetics suck

    This is a good video

If there’s not much other exercise selection for a particular movement (ie squats) I usually just move to a higher rep range (4-6, 6-9, 10-12, 12-15).

A ‘Plateau’ Describes when your improvements and gains seem to level-off, and you don’t make any progress gaining muscle or whatever goal you have set for yourself. Hope this helps :)

thanx. but isnt the lack of gaining muscle due to wrong dieting methods

  • simokl22

hes a strong lad..but i would think he should be bigger than this with the weights hes lifting….strange that hes giving advice on plateauing when he is textbook”plateau” cos his body hasnt grown sufficiently in my book..i dont lift that heavy and look much more muscualr and powerful than this guy..

  • mikuchan

    BEST ACCENT EVER

  • Tykimeister

There is a difference between being a power lifter and just weight conditioning. Maybe he is small because he has stanima; rather than having strong initial strength. Huge guys tend to lift heavy and fewer reps. This guy probably reps more and lifts less weight.

  • robmac36067

this guy is just working the muscle rather than just moving weights. in other words he doesn’t ego lift.

Dieting is definately one of the biggest factors, because you can work out all you like, and if you aren’t providing your body with the protein and other nutrients, then it can’t repair itself. Exercise and diet go hand in hand, you dont just build muscle with diet, and you dont just build muscle with only weight training. It takes both. Period!

this has an alright body but no where close to what for example fitness made simple with John Basedow. John Basedow has ripped abs shoulders and arms .

  • monkeyjam101

Fatigue and strength/ tension are mutually exclusive. metabolic waste product like lactic acid hamper further powerful contractions. Cardiovascular insufficiency forces you to prematurely terminate your set. Mental fatigue from doing too many reps or sets prevents you from generating required intensity. I believe you can cut unnecessary reps and sets, and discover an ability to recover much faster. And, you will make bigger gains.
