calm down blud! yh he is giving the wrong advice using a close grip targets the long outer biceps head to develop a better peak!!!

you got good arms G thanks for the info

it does, i can feel a burn around that area of the bicep when i do these, less weights more reps work better

  • YoungJeezy333

    yes it does the outer!

as barbell curls go, a narrow grip (less than shoulder width) works the outer bicep head, while a wide grip (greater than shoulder width) works the inner head. Shoulder width curls hit both heads equally well

yoU’RE correct, wide grip hits inner head; close grip hits outer…All bodybuilding books, including Arnold’s, cnfirms this.

If you have shoulder impingement issues I’d recommend doing preachers with your elbows in close and conentrating on squeezing it up…you’ll feel immense pressure n burn on the inner head, make certain to squeeze at the top for your peaks.

man expert village fails again, this will not work the outer part of the bicep! it will work the long head, this is the part of the bicep which is closest to your torso! who is this clown?!

i juz bought a curl bar with 2 twenty pound plates, i was wondering what the closed grip works out and what the wide grip works out??? and does it matter which one i do???

  • samlovemetal

Closed grip works inner head. wide does outer head. Those are the two parts of your bicep, if you want good balanced arms and want to avoid injury. Yes it matters which ones u do. do both.

  • LowKeyEqualsSurvival

the wide grip works the outer part of your biecep and the inner grip works inner ball of your biecep. Just image your biecep split into 2 halfs.
